Polish Greyhound

The Polish Greyhound is a different breed of dog and the dog looks like different by the look. The origination of the dog is Polish Sighthound Chart Polski, Polish. This dog is not a solid breed of the standard breed and it is not recognized by most of the major kennel clubs. It is recognized by the United Kennel club, Canadian Kennel club, and Fédération Cynologique Internationale. The dog has not direct relation with the Greyhound dog. The legs of the dog are full of bone and this dog is suitable for running fast. Because the dog is light as body structure. It is a Sighthounds and Pariah Dogs dog.
The appearance of the dog has nothing attractive. Although the dog looks like light but comparison to the Greyhounds, the dog is found lighter. The dog is covered by the double layered coat. The under coat of the dog is perfect for the Winter season and it is thicker than the upper coat. The coat of the dog is smooth and harsh. It has long muscular neck and the head of the dog is high. The height of the female Polish Greyhound is from 27 to 30 inches; height of the male Polish Greyhound is from 28 to 31 inches. The weight of the female Polish Greyhound is between from 59 to 69 pounds and the weight of the female Polish Greyhound is between from 59 to 69 pounds. This dog is reserved, self-assured, agile confident and brave. However, this dog is difficult to train and maintain.
This dog lives for 12 to 15 years long. It has medium energy. This dog mainly needs open space like yard with home. This is why the dog is not perfect for living in an apartment. It is very protective breed and it is alert and keep eyes on the family of the owner for their safety. This dog is very aggressive and this is why it is better to keep the children away from the kids. Every year this dog gives around 4 to 8 puppies.
On this breed of dog, no health studies are conducted. So, no record is found about the health of this breed of dog but it is found that some genetic problems may available in this breed. Cancer, Heart Conditions, Cardiomyopathy, Sensitivity to Anesthesia, Cold Intolerance, Anesthesia Allergies, Food Allergies, Hip Dysplasia, Intolerance to hard surfaces, Elbow Dysplasia, Demodicosis or Demodex are common problems in every breed of dog.
